New Portraits for Ron Evans

Last Tuesday Ron Evans and I spontaneously arranged a meeting in the late afternoon. Ron has been a couple of days at the North Sea and had some dates in Hanover on his way back south. And a free afternoon. So I took Ron with his guitar and my cameras and we went out. It was a beautiful light and I think I found a very suitable location in the north of Langenhagen, not far from the village Twenge, on the Waldkaterstraße.

The motto: a mixture of Blues Brothers, Men in Black and Riding with the King If you can not do anything with it, especially with the last slogan, look at this disc cover. Got it?

As a subtitle, Englishmen in Hanover would also fit  – as Ron has an English passport and the Jaguar XK used for some of the photos was manufactured in England.

Other ingredients for this afternoon: the M10 with Noctilux, the M240 with Summicron 35 and the Q with polarization filter, in addition to great weather, lots of fun and good sense of humour.

I have brought here two sets: one colour and one monochrome – the latter one processed with SilverEfex Pro.

Rock on, Ron! In June, he is on tour again with the Ron Evans Group – and that in the 70th year of his life!
