At the Maschsee in Hanover.
Today finally blue sky above Hanover – so I left the computer after lunch break and was heading out to get some fresh air. The destination: the Maschsee (THE lake in Hanover), or to be more precise, the Rudolf-von-Bennigsen-Ufer. The spot with the best sunshine in the afternoon.
A few pictures dated last autumn have been presented here in this article already (German only). They have been in colour actually. Today the report is in classic black & white.
I started nearby the sculpture “Menschenpaar” by Georg Kolbe.
Close by I found a coffee machine on a bicycle – know better as the Café Vélo. Perfect at this location and time
I ordered a Café Latte and took some pictures of course.
With my coffee to go I went down south heading towards the Löwenbastion (the lion monuments), passing by Pier 51 – today no empty tables here.
At the lion’s bastion the low winter sun was painting long shadows on the ways.
On the way back I had a short break in the sun – if it was me the winter could say farewell already.
But the highlight on this afternoon was the delicious coffee which I had at Café Veló
